Made up of several cloves, which are then enclosed within layers of papery sheaths, the crescent shape and papery skin of Garlic is universally known. Overall, Garlic is used to help boost the immune system, and when suffering from a cold, Garlic is often believed to help relieve symptoms and the illness itself. A warning before you prepare Garlic – due to the pungent smells of this vegetable, your fingers may smell like Garlic for some time even if you wash your hands a dozen times! To prepare, remove the skin of the Garlic and either crush, slice or chop as desired. Crushed Garlic allows for an even distribution of flavor within meals.
